As the year comes to an end, we want to take a moment to reflect on what this year has meant for Cucu Spanish, our online Spanish school, and for the wonderful international community that learns and grows with us every day.
This has been a year of connection, confidence and real communication in Spanish. A year in which learning went far beyond grammar books and exams, and became something shared, human and meaningful.
More Than an Online Spanish School
Cucu Spanish was created with a clear purpose: to offer a Spanish school where students feel supported, understood and motivated to speak Spanish with confidence.
We work with students from international schools, families living abroad, teenagers and adults who want to learn Spanish online in a structured but warm environment. Our approach combines academic rigour with a strong sense of community, because we believe that language learning happens best when students feel safe and connected.
Being an online Spanish school allows us to reach students all over the world, while keeping a personalised, close relationship with each learner.

Supporting Spanish B and ab initio Students Worldwide
One of the key focuses of this year has been supporting Spanish B and ab initio students from international schools.
As experienced Spanish B tutors and ab initio Spanish tutors, we know that IB students need more than just exam practice. They need:
- Confidence to express ideas clearly
- A solid understanding of the language
- Strategies to approach oral and written tasks
- Ongoing guidance and reassurance
Throughout the year, we have worked closely with students preparing for IB Spanish, helping them improve fluency, structure their answers and enjoy the process of learning Spanish.
Our goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to help them feel comfortable using Spanish in real-life situations.
What Made This Year Special at Cucu Spanish
This year stood out for many reasons, but some elements truly defined who we are as a Spanish school:
- Special sessions and events, such as film clubs and seasonal classes, that brought students together beyond regular lessons
- Community spaces, including discussion groups and shared activities, where Spanish is practised naturally
- A strong focus on oral communication and confidence
- A diverse, international group of students learning Spanish from different parts of the world
These experiences reinforced our belief that learning Spanish should be dynamic, social and meaningful.
Creating Community Through Spanish
At Cucu Spanish, language is a tool for connection. This year, we focused on creating a Spanish learning community where students feel part of something bigger.
Practising Spanish in a relaxed, supportive environment helps students:
- Lose the fear of making mistakes
- Build confidence when speaking
- Feel motivated and engaged
- Create real connections with others
Our students are not just learners; they are part of the Cucu Spanish family.
