Before Cucu Spanish was an Online Spanish School, it was a dream.
For years, I worked in embassies across the Arab world, translating from English into Spanish and Arabic. I lived in Damascus, Syria, and later moved to Kuwait. Every day, I translated official documents and helped people communicate across cultures. Arabic was my professional tool—but something was missing….
I realized I didn’t want to just translate language—I wanted to help people use it.
It all began when a friend asked me to teach her Spanish online while I was still in Kuwait. That simple conversation planted the seed for what would eventually become Cucu Spanish Online School.
I took my experience living between languages and cultures, and created an online space where Spanish is taught differently:
- Not just grammar rules, but real-life communication
- Not just tests, but confidence
- Not just isolated study, but human connection
